Here, life seems to burst from every corner — from spice stalls to sari shops, and the scent of street food in the air. Visit the majestic Jama Masjid from the outside before heading to New Delhi. This part of the city shows off India’s British-colonial past with wide boulevards and grand buildings. On arrival, you’ll visit Agra Fort, an imposing structure of red sandstone that once served as a palace and fortress for the Mughal emperors. Its intricate design and commanding presence offer insight into the grandeur of the empire. In the late afternoon, you’ll cross the Yamuna River to Mehtab Bagh — a tranquil garden perfectly aligned with the Taj Mahal. It’s the ideal place to watch the sun dip behind the white marble dome, bathing it in soft golden hues. It’s a beautiful prelude to your sunrise visit tomorrow.

After soaking in the serenity of this monument to love, return to your hotel for breakfast. From here, drive to Jaipur with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri. Once the capital of Emperor Akbar, this deserted city is surprisingly well-preserved and offers a quiet, open-air glimpse into Mughal architecture. Arrive in Jaipur by early evening, where you’ll be welcomed into a local family’s home for an interactive cooking demo and dinner — a warm, memorable way to end the day.

Today is a full day exploring the royal capital of Rajasthan. Start at Amber Fort — perched on a hilltop, it’s reached by jeep or on foot. Inside, admire mirrored halls and ornate courtyards that tell stories of the Rajput kings. On your way back, stop for photos at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), whose intricate pink façade is one of Jaipur’s most photographed sites. Visit the City Palace, a living royal residence with an impressive museum, and then step into the scientific world of Jantar Mantar — an 18th-century observatory with massive astronomical instruments. This afternoon, take a guided walk through the Old City’s laneways and markets. Jaipur’s bazaars are bursting with textiles, jewellery, and local snacks. It’s colourful, chaotic, and incredibly fun.

It’s an early start today as you transfer to the airport and fly to Varanasi via Delhi. On arrival in India’s spiritual capital, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. After some time to settle in, head out for a truly atmospheric evening. A rickshaw ride through Varanasi’s old town is a sensory journey in itself — narrow laneways alive with chanting, bells, incense, and pilgrims. You’ll then arrive at the ghats along the Ganges River to witness the evening aarti ceremony. This centuries-old ritual of fire, sound, and devotion is performed daily on the steps of the river — an unforgettable moment, both serene and spectacular.

As the river stirs to life, you’ll pass morning rituals — locals bathing, offering prayers, and even cremation ceremonies at the burning ghats. It’s peaceful, moving, and deeply human. After the boat ride, walk through the narrow alleys of Varanasi’s old quarter, where temples and street life merge seamlessly. You’ll see the Vishwanath Temple from outside and pass the Durga Temple, absorbing the energy that defines the city. In the afternoon, visit Sarnath — the sacred site where Buddha gave his first sermon after enlightenment. The quiet ruins and museum offer a calm contrast to the buzz of the city.
